Premo Sculpey 56gm (2oz) Blocks

Premo

NEW IN STOCK 56gm FROST
Premo Sculpey is an artist's dream come true!

After conditioning this clay is soft enough to blend easily but firm enough to hold fine detail and for specialized techniques. It's perfect for caning, mokume gane and mica shift.
Because Premo retains flexibility, the finished product remains very strong and durable. This unique characteristic makes it our most durable clay, ideal for jewellery, home decor and functional items we use every day.

Premo comes in 34 densely saturated colors and can be mixed to create custom colours. Based on an artist's palette the colours, intense on their own, can also be blended for custom creations. This combination of strength and beauty is easily transferred to any project you have in mind. Whether creating millefiore beads and canes, delicate scrapbook pages, faux semi-precious stones or glass adornments, Premo Sculpey is the clay to use.

Characteristics
Premo! Sculpey quickly reaches a workable state with minimal conditioning and remains soft and pliable while offering extra resistance without crumbling. Hint: Conditioning of all polymer clays may be facilitated with the use of a pasta machine. Simply cut the block in half and feed each half through the largest setting. Repeat 10 times more and your clay should be conditioned.
It is available in 32 colors, including a lustrous Gold and Silver, and a series of pearlescent colors. Its artists color palette is modeled after oil paint colors and designed to make color mixing a snap. Mix Premo! Sculpey with other polymer clay colors, powders or pigments for interesting colors and textural effects.
Sculpting is a joy as it responds to the movements of your hand or tool and holds a sculpted line without "filling in." Jewelry makers will enjoy the ability of Premo! Sculpey to be used in their Millefiori and caning work in canes of 10, 15, and 25-pound sizes or more. Premo! Sculpey canes are best cut with a very sharp blade using a rocking motion. A little practice makes this technique second nature!
And to top it off, creations made from Premo! Sculpey will be around for a long time, because it is formulated to be what we feel is the strongest and most durable polymer clay around. Premo! Sculpey is not brittle after baking. In thicker areas it is hard and rigid and in delicate areas "flexes" to reduce the risk of breakage.
Whether youre a sculptor or crafts person, beginner or professional we think you will love the benefits of Premo Sculpey.
Curing
Premo! Sculpey should be cured at 130 degrees C (275 F) in a preheated oven for 30 minutes per quarter inch of thickness. DO NOT MICROWAVE. Once cured, the colors intensify and deepen.
Use
Use Premo! Sculpey for jewelry, home decor, and sculpture. Dollmakers may mix Translucent Premo! Sculpey with Super Sculpey for increased translucence and strength. Premo! Sculpey is very beneficial used as a "backing," providing greater strength and stability to the item being produced. The lustrous Gold and Silver colors make Premo! Sculpey perfect for jewellery.
Storage
Sculpey polymer clay products should remain fresh if properly stored in a cool place, away from heat and direct sunlight.
