Miniatures with Polymer Clay

My continous search for Polymer artists in Australia and New Zealand, has resulted in me becoming fascinated by what people use the medium for. One that especially intrigues me is miniatures for dollhouses. I have attended four miniature conventions, one in Australia and three in New Zealand and below you can see some of the miniatures made with or from polymer clay, that I purchased for my clay gallery at the Polymer Palace.

In 2000 I attended the biannual NZAME convention in Wellington New Zealand. While there I was fortunate enough to view a house in progress by Barry of the Lower Hutt Miniature Makers club. I have seen some absolutely fabulous mosaic work in my travels around the world but these....... left me in awe so precise and neat and absolutely gorgeous. I just had to give them a wee spot on there own as you need to see the house to fully understand the scope of this project. Enjoy......

Each room is designed as a box for ease of transport and Barry kindly dismantled his house room by room until we where able to view the tiles in all the glory and photograph them.
